Rice with Sausages
Rice with Sausages is a dish that I love very much the first time I ate it I was 9 years old since that day I can't make it at least. You will surely love it.
It's a variation of the Arroz Carreteiro dish, in Italy not being easy to find dried meat the variation was made with the sausage then I now changed it even more.
Ingredients
- 3 spoons of oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 3 glasses of Basmati rice
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 4 Togliatti sausages in cubes or small slices
- 1 Tomato cut into cubes
- Olives cut in half
- 4 glasses of boiling water
- Chili to taste
- Tomato concentrate
Method
Step 1
In a saucepan fry the onions and garlic
Step 2
Add the sausages and the chilli stir with the wooden spoon until the sausages are cooked.
Step 3
Add the tomato, olives and salt, turn for one minute and add the tomato paste.
Step 4
Add the rice and cook for 2 minutes together with the other ingredients while turning with a wooden spoon.
Step 5
Add the boiling water, lower the heat to low and put the lid half-closed for 15 minutes or at least until you see that the water has receded and the rice is soft. (Attention - the right point of the rice is not like risotto but they have to detach us from each other.)
Step 6
Before serving, I recommend mixing. If not, you risk that whoever takes it first takes all the sausages as my daughters do. -P
