Pastel de Carne

Pastel de Carne is a food consisting of a flour-based dough that has the shape of an envelope, filled and then fried.

It is one of the foods that are most often found in carts and popular shopping malls in Brazil, Portugal and also in the rest of the world in various names.
Pastaes are generally small, unlike tortas and empadões, and can be sweet, or salty, like meat and cheese pasteis.
